Ms. Lopez is a native of South Texas, born and raised in Pharr, TX. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas-Pan American in 1997. She graduated with Nursing Honors. She then received a Master of Science degree in Nursing in 2002 and became a Family Nurse Practitioner. Upon graduating, she joined RGV Adult & Geriatric Medicine Specialists. She has been part of the team for over seven years. Additionally, she has held the prestigious title of Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) since 2004. Presently, Ms. Lopez is pursuing a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) through the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where she is a prospective 2011 graduate. She is also pursuing a national certification in rehabilitation nursing.
